#thegospel
Bom Dia!
Another day another transfer! I´ll be staying in Jardim Guanabara and receiving a brand new, fresh out of the MTC missionary! I´m excited to meet her on Wednesday :)
This week was full of surprises.
We started visiting our old friend Belfor this week. He´s really wanting to change his life which is awesome because we know just how to help him! (#thegospel) I love knowing that all of us are worthy of a chance to change. The Atonement is the best.
Sister Pontes caught Chikungunya this week.... We spent several days at home so she could rest up and not have to move. Chikungunya looks rough. I never want to catch it. Ever.
While we were at home this week I finished reading Our Heritage which is an awesome little book about the history of the Church. I´ve been thinking a lot about something President Joseph Fielding Smith said in his last public address:
"There is no cure for the ills of the world, except the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our hope for peace, for temporal and spiritual prosperity, and for an eventual inheritance in the kingdom of God is found only in and through the restored gospel. There is no work that any of us can engage in that is as important as preaching the gospel and building up the Church and kingdom of God on earth."
Christ is the only answer, and everyone needs to know it.
I love being a missionary. It is the greatest privilege
Love from Brasil,
Sister Chamberlain
